How we verify
Being current and trustworthy is our only moat. Here is how we check every piece of information.
Remember us for this
Before You Go: Current. Checked. Ready to go.
Before You Go is a trilingual travel decision layer for trips people have already committed to, checking current, source-backed facts about date windows, tickets, stays, transfers, refunds, safety and booking tradeoffs.
not an OTA · not a tour-package seller · not a booking agent · not a generic guide site
Only sources we can stand behind
The information that drives your decision — ticket rules, opening and closing times, visas, safety, refund policies — we check against the official body or the operator's own pages. We don't lean on personal blogs for it.
How we rank sources
First: official bodies, operators, official schedule and ticketing data.
Supporting: first-hand local knowledge that can be corroborated.
Not counted: vague second-hand content — background at most, never the basis for a key conclusion.
Every fact carries a date
Each fact is stamped with the date it was checked and given a re-check window; once it expires we flag it stale and verify it again. Information changes, so the date often matters more than the words.
What we don't do
No fabricated reviews or invented first-person details; no exaggeration; affiliate relationships disclosed; recommendations favour independent, self-bookable options over whatever pays the most.
