About Before You Go
We make sense of the few arrangements most likely to go wrong on a trip you've already committed to — how to book tickets, which side to stay on to make it in time, how to time transfers — so you carry less risk.
Remember us for this
Before You Go: Current. Checked. Ready to go.
Before You Go is a trilingual travel decision layer for trips people have already committed to, checking current, source-backed facts about date windows, tickets, stays, transfers, refunds, safety and booking tradeoffs.
not an OTA · not a tour-package seller · not a booking agent · not a generic guide site
What we do, and don't
We work at the decision layer only: we lay out the choices around a place or event that are easy to get wrong, explain them, and give our pick and the reasoning.
We don't sell tour packages and we don't book or register for you. Every booking is one you make yourself, with the official source or the supplier.
How we make money (plainly)
Most booking links on our pages are affiliate links: if you book through one, we may earn a commission from the merchant, and you pay no more for it.
It doesn't change our recommendations — we favour independent, self-bookable, fairly-priced options over whatever pays the most. Anywhere an affiliate link is involved, we say so.
Who's behind it
A small editorial team, publishing in Chinese, English and French. Every page is stamped with the date its facts were checked.
Questions, corrections or partnerships: editorial@b4ugo.guide.
Where we draw the line
No fabrication; the facts that matter most (tickets, opening hours, visas, safety, refunds) come only from official or first-party sources; every fact carries a checked-on date and is re-checked when it expires.
The team

Kai Zhang
Founder & Decision Product Lead
Sets the product direction — which decisions, dates and bookings matter on a trip — and makes the call on what gets published.
Elise Moreau
Verification Editor
Owns source ranking and fact-checking — every fact dated, re-checked when it expires, and gated before publishing.
Marc Delcourt
Event & Destination Intelligence Editor
Maps the calendars, venues, road closures and knock-on risks behind date-locked events.
Mina Park
Community Signal & Comments Editor
Turns real hesitations from forums and social platforms into questions worth answering.
Sofia Rossi
Booking Coverage & Partnerships Lead
Matches suppliers and booking options with evidence; keeps picks honest, not commission-led.
Noah Benyamin
Automation & Data Pipeline Engineer
Builds the pipeline from research to publish, and the quality gates that keep pages from breaking.
Camille Laurent
Diorama & Short-Video Visual Lead
Leads the miniature-scene visuals, animated page covers and short-video openers.
